Community Services Fund Member Agencies

Community Services Fund provides fundraising, public relations, educational, marketing and networking for member agencies and promotes responsible philanthropy in Nebraska. A gift to this designation code supports these efforts.

American Civil Liberties Union, Nebraska

A nonprofit, non-partisan, privately funded organization devoted exclusively to the defense and promotion of the individual rights secured by the U.S. and Nebraska constitutions.

Capital Humane Society

Mission is to fulfill the promise of animals, the Capital Humane Society shelters animals, protects animals and teaches compassion and respect.  Serving the Lincoln community since 1902.

 

 

Nebraska CASA Association

Supports the development, growth, and continuation of local Court Appointed Special Advocates programs which recruit and train CASA volunteers who speak in court for the best interests of abused and neglected children.

Recovering Lives. Restoring Hope. CenterPointe is the recognized leader in helping people with co-occurring mental health and substance use problems attain healthier, more productive lives.

Foundation for Lincoln City Libraries

The Foundation for Lincoln City Libraries supports and sustains Lincoln's public library system to help meet the informational needs of our growing community.

 

 Houses of Hope of Nebraska

Gives individuals recovering from chemical dependency "a chance and a choice".  Since 1962, Houses of Hope programs offer individuals the opportunity to integrate back into the community 

KZUM FM 89.3

Lincoln's community radio station, airs 150 hours of live, locally produced music, public affairs, and information programs each week in six languages.

 

Lincoln Children's Museum

The Museum invites children to create, discover and learn through the power of play. Learning opportunities include hands-on exhibits, early childhood programming, camps and workshops.

Impacts the lives of people in Lincoln and surrounding communities by helping our visitors connect with wildlife through unique hands-on encounters and engaging experiences.

Lincoln/Lancaster Habitat for Humanity

Builds simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with low-income families making their dreams of homeownership a reality.

Lux Center for the Arts

Helps children and adults develop creative problem-solving skills and aesthetic cognition in the visual arts. Designations help provide scholarships and outreach to disadvantaged populations.

Girl Scouts Spirit of NE- Homestead Service Center

Girl Scouting "builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place." In Lincoln, over 2,000 girls ages 5 - 17 benefit.

Lincoln Parks Foundation

Founded in 1992, the mission is to secure and manage time, treasure and talent resources for the betterment of Lincoln's parks and recreation facilities and programs.  

 

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Nebraska

Purpose is to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.  Whatever wish-kids' hearts can dream, Make-A-Wish does our best to make reality.

The Mediation Center

The only organization in the Lincoln community devoted exclusively to the resolution of conflict by providing to every individual affordable access to professional mediation services.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)

Provides education and awareness about underage drinking and impaired driving to thousands of Nebraskans. MADD also provides direct services to more than 500 victims of drunk-driving crashes.

A public interest law project advocating public policies and practices that advance the interests of working poor families, new immigrants, foster children, justice and democracy.

 

Nebraska Children's Home Society Foundation

Since 1893 Nebraska Children's Home Society has been providing safe and loving care to children of all ages through their adoption, pregnancy, foster care and child care programs.

 

  Nebraska domestic violence sexual assault coalition

Statewide agency committed to prevention and elimination of domestic and sexual violence.  Provides victim referrals, materials, supports hotlines, policy revisions, trainings and lending resource library.

 

Nebraska Humanities Council

The Nebraska Humanities Council enhances the quality of life in communities across our state through programs that cultivate an understanding of our history and culture.

 

 

Nebraska Trails Foundation

The Nebraska Trails Foundation has been instrumental in developing 130 miles of trails in the Lincoln area, resulting in healthier lives and acres of natural green space.

Nebraska Wing Civil Air Patrol/Starbase Nebraska

The Nebraska Civil Air Patrol is committed to the education of youth by fostering cadet participation in leadership, aerospace and emergency services training. STARBASE Nebraska, Inc. brings approximately 900 5th graders from low socio-economic Lincoln schools for five concentrated days of study emphasizing science, math and technology.

 

NET Foundation for Television

NET's mission is to enrich lives and engage minds by connecting communities and celebrating Nebraska with services that educate, entertain and enlighten.

NET Foundation for Radio

Provides the finest in classical music, information and entertainment. Spotlights Nebraska's unique treasures and history for the more than 81,000 listeners of Nebraska's NPR Station each week.

Helping the people of our communities make lifelong responsible choices with affordable reproductive healthcare, family planning and sex education. Advocating for our programs and services.

 

Seniors Foundation

Reaches 62% of the older adult population in Lincoln/Lancaster County to provide supportive programs that enrich and enhance their quality of life.

Voices for Children in Nebraska

Inspiring Nebraska citizens to make improvements in areas such as: poverty, child abuse, health care and juvenile justice to improve the lives of Nebraska's children.

Insures life's natural diversity will flourish by preserving tall grass prairies and wetlands and providing educational opportunities for youth, field trips, special events, public programs and publications.

 

pEOPLE'S hEALTH cENTER

People’s Health Center (PHC) is Lincoln’s only Community Health Center.  The mission is to provide   affordable, comprehensive, accessible, culturally appropriate, cost-effective primary health care.  PHC serves those individuals and families with limited resources or with other barriers to healthcare to improve their overall health status.  PHC was established in 2002 through the dedicated efforts of community members who formed a steering committee to seek funding to provide medical and dental services to the medically uninsured and underinsured in the Lincoln area.  The doors opened to patients on September 30, 2003.
